Sponsors and Those Who Really Care About the Success of the Future Generation

Join us and help us make a difference in the lives of the children being influenced by gangs and drugs.

Word in the Hood is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (founded 2017, tax-exempt since 2023, EIN 82-2904512), based in Dalton, Georgia. Leonardo Lechuga takes his story — gang life, addiction, prison, and a rebuilt life — into schools, youth programs, and prisons across the country. Many of the schools and communities that need this message most are the ones least able to pay for it. Sponsors close that gap.
